About Freeport Mobile Mechanic
A fully mobile auto repair service based in Freeport, NY — the mechanic comes to your home, workplace, or roadside across Nassau County and western Suffolk County, 24 hours a day.

Freeport Mobile Mechanic is a fully mobile auto repair service. There is no shop and no walk-in location. Instead, the mechanic drives to wherever your vehicle is — your driveway, your workplace parking lot, an apartment complex lot, a street curb, or the shoulder of the road — and performs the repair on-site. The service area covers all of Nassau County and western Suffolk County on Long Island, with Freeport as the home base.
The business brings 10 years experience of hands-on mobile auto repair experience to every job. Every technician is insured, and every repair begins with a clear quote given before any work starts. There are no surprise charges, and no work proceeds without your approval.
Availability is 24/7 — nights, weekends, and holidays included. Breakdowns and dead batteries don't keep business hours, so neither does this service. Whether it's a brake job in a driveway at noon or a jump start on the shoulder at 3 a.m., the goal is the same: get you back on the road without a tow and without a trip to a shop.
The fully mobile model works for the vast majority of common repairs: brakes, batteries and electrical, engine diagnostics and tune-ups, suspension and steering, routine maintenance like oil changes and fluid services, roadside assistance, and AC and cooling system work. If the repair can be completed safely where the vehicle sits, it can be done mobile.
What Cannot Be Done Mobile
Honesty matters more than a sale. Some work legally or practically cannot be performed at your location:
- NY State safety and emissions inspections — these legally require a licensed inspection station and cannot be done mobile. They are not offered.
- Towing — not offered. If a vehicle cannot be repaired on-site, you'll be told honestly and referred to a tow operator.
- Body work — collision repair, frame straightening, and paint work require a body shop and are not performed mobile.
- Any repair requiring a lift or a machine shop — engine removals, transmission rebuilds, and other work that needs a hoist or specialized shop equipment cannot be done in a driveway.
If your repair falls outside what can be done mobile, you'll be told upfront — not after a wasted visit.
